Savannah's here!

So its been a month she she was born but we are happy to announce the birth of our little girl Savannah Therese Cook. She was born on February 21st at 3:28pm! She weigh 6lbs 15oz and was 20.5 inches long. The labor went pretty well other than lasting for what seemed like FOREVER! My water broke at about 12:15am so I was in labor for about 15 hours.

Life as a new mom has been a little hard to get used to. When Savannah was only 4 days old she was hospitalized. They never found anything wrong with her but the whole experience was really rough for all of us. We are all doing great now! She's now 8lbs 14oz and 22 inches long!

Happy New Year!

Well we are 2 weeks into the new year and everything is going great. Jacob and I went for our last sonogram before our little girl is born. she looks great. She was sleeping though most of it and she wouldn't move when we tried to poke at my belly. The sono tech said that she will probably a pretty even tempered little girl...we can only hope he is right!! Im and now 7 months preggo! I cant believe how fast the time has gone by, only 2 more months to go! I am starting to get a little nervous about everything. We still have a lot to do to get ready for her and sometimes I don't think it will ever get done. We started child birth classes last week and have 3 more to complete. We also took a tour of the baby center at the hospital which only added to my nervousness. It made the whole thing seem so much more real than it has been. The reast of our life has been pretty crazy sinc before christmas. I started working full time for a few weeks after my fall classes ended and that at the start of the new year I started a 2 week Janurary Term class that is pretty intence. Its a short story class and i have severl hours of reading every night and papers to write. Ill be done in 2 days though!!! After that things should start to slow down until the baby comes. I plan on working a few days a week until the middle of Feb to keep my self from going completly insane while I wait for our little girl to arrive. I'm not sure when I will write again, my life will be pretty boring for the next 2 months!

Life's Crazy

So I relaized its been quite awhile since I had time to post any updates our on life happenings. Things have been pretty crazy around here for the past month or so. My mom was finaly able to find a house and she started to move in before thanksgiving, and is still trying to finish moving in. Almost all of her stuff is out of the house live in now but things are still such a mess around here. Since Jacob and I are moving upstairs to have more room for the baby our stuff is now everywhere. Hopefully by the end of the week we will have most of it under control. I really wanted to be completely setteled in before christmas so im keeping my fingers crossed! Tonight some people are coming to help Jacob move the big furniture so all we weill have left to do is get the mess under control. Other then the moving mess I was finishing up school and working extra hours down at the bookstore. Schools over now and I'm just working but working while being pregnant takes most of my energy and by the end of the day I am completly exhausted. even though things have been so crazy Jake and I have been doing really well. We had a nice thanksgiving in TN with some of my dads family. We stayed in a really nice cabin in the mountains. I am looking forward to christmas! We have all of our shopping done and now I just need to start wrapping all the presents. On satuday while I was at work Jake went out with his parents and littlest brother to get our christmas tree. It small but looks really nice. And since we dont have a lot of ornamens yet we didn't really need a big tree. And for a prganacy update, I am 6 months along and finally in my 3rd trimester!!! She is moving around tons! The kicks to the ribs aren't so pleasent but other then that I love feeling her move around. I feel like i am getting huge and i still have 3 more months to go, I can't even imagine how I will be feeling at the end. Well I guess that about sums up whats been going on with us! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

Baby update

I tired to post this right after our sonogram almost 2 weeks ago but that computer was being stupid and its taken me this long to try again.

We Went to the Doctor on October 17th for our sonogram. We found out that we are having a little girl!!! We are both very excited. Jacob wanted a boy frist but hes very happy about it being a girl. She looked great ont he sonogram and they have no concerns at this point. She's gorwing just like she should be! On the day of our sonogram they said she weighed 11 ounces, so tiny! We are thinking about naming her savannah but we are set on it yet. We will probably wait until she is born to pick a name for sure. I'm starting to feel her moving around alot which is one of the coolest things I have ever felt. We just can't wait to meet her in 4 months!!!!

Our Life Happenings

Well I have gotten through my first 3 weeks of the semester! So far so good. I think things will go pretty easy for me this semester. I'm only taking 3 classes and I still do not have a job so I have plenty of time to get my school work done. I am about 15 weeks into my pregnancy now and things are going great. 3 weeks ago I had a doctors appointment where I got to hear our baby's heart beat which was the most amazing thing ever! For the most part the morning sickness is gone...thank goodness. I have been getting some of my energy back but I still take some short naps to get me though the day. I am extremely anxious to find out the sex of the baby!! Only about 5 more weeks until that day comes! Im pretty convinced the baby is a boy though. Not sure why but thats just my feeling. We will be happy whatever we have though. My mom is getting married in about a month and we will be moving upsatirs so we have more room when the baby comes in March. I'm so excited to start working on the nursery!

Our life so far

I thought it was about time to create a blog to keep our friends and families updated on our life. Well Jacob and I have now been married for just over a year. I cant believe how fast this year went by. I am still going to school at FCC working on my degree in early childhood education. I have about 3 semesters left until I get my associates. Jacob is now working at Garber's automotive is New Windsor. We are still living in my moms house but she is getting married and moving out in October and we will live here for up to 2 more years. We are also adding another member to the Cook family this spring!!! I am pregnant with Baby Cook #1 and I am due march 8th! We are so excited and feel like these next 7 months are going to take forever! I have been having a little bit of morning sickness but its not been too bad. I hoping it will go away for good in a few more weeks. I'll move into my second trimester at the end of august. Here is our first sonogram picture! This was at about 8 weeks and it doesn't look much like a baby here! Slowing it's looking less like an alien and more like a human. We got to see the babies heart beat when we were looking at the sonogram and it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen! We just can't wait to meet the little guy/girl!
